About the Author
Alfredo Fuentes is a twenty-six year career firefighter and now retired Captain of the FDNY as well as a former Acting Battalion Chief of its Marine Division. Captain Fuentes is the founder and director of the Patriot Group, a not-for-profit organization that specializes in assisting first responders in answering terrorism and disaster crisis emergencies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Empire State College. Captain Fuentes was a consultant for Nasar, FEMA, and a national instructor.

Loved It

As an avid reader, I so enjoyed this book. It was easy reading and it touched my heart. I realized how important is to enjoy life as it could gone in a minute. It brought me inside 9/11/2001 alongside the firefighters to witness their efforts. I'm also so proud to call myself an american. A must read for all, truly enjoyable. Thanks America

Incredible!

This book is absolutely incredible. It is an easy read, that will make you laugh, cry, and feel a strong sense of what it truly means to be an American. It is very real, and immigrant Alfredo Fuentes leads us through his poignant journey in becoming an American.

An excellent reading. Captain Fuentes does an excellent job in his account of his experiences of September 11. The end of the book is particularly interesting.
