About the Author
Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche was born in Rabshu in the province of Kham in eastern Tibet. He was born at sunrise on Mahakala Day, the twenty-ninth day of the second month in the Year of the Wood Mouse, 1924. On this day, very early in the morning, Rinpoche's mother went to fetch water from the stream, carrying the full vessel of water home. Rinpoche was then born with no pain to his mother.

This is a wonderful and explicit teaching setting forth valuable instructions for those who wish to meditate seriously in an independent setting. It is a teaching by Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche on the Mountain Dharma - not a word-for-word translation of Karma Chagme's text. As such, it is much easier for westerners to relate to. For anyone serious about practicing Dharma, it is truly a jewel.

This book and duct tape is all you need for a successful pilgrimage on El Camino de Santiago! I bought and studied many books before I left for Espana, but this is the one that stayed with me. (Others were dumped en route - poor utility-to-weight ratings.) This informative book however, was referred to frequently. I bonded with several other pelegrinas because we were carrying the same book. My secret to success? Before I left home, I carefully cut out all the pages that I didn't need. I removed the first half of the book because I started walking in Leon. Then I taped the rest of the book together with duct tape. OK, so I actually used clear packing tape ( a little lighter in weight and I could still enjoy the graphics on the front cover).
I recommend this cleverly written and organized book - and don't forget the duct tape!

Although this guide is written for walkers, we also found it an excellent guide for cycling. The authors' evident enthusiasm for flora and fauna adds an enjoyable aspect to the excellent cultural descriptions and practical details. I would also recommend the slim book of maps "Camino de Santiago" by John Briarly for cyclists (and perhaps walkers as well).

A warm, uplifting and entertaining story!

I greatly enjoyed this book! You get the feeling throughout that the author has a special affection for the town where the book takes place as well as the characters who live there. The romance between the main characters never seems forced and develops at just the right pace.

I also loved the interaction between the young doctor and older doctor. The story flows naturally and is a great read. The action dispersed with the romance and the other plot lines makes this a page turner. The book leaves you wanting to know more about these people and the little town of Renew.

I hope Ms. Long brings us more stories about these characters soon.

This is a well written fictional romance novel that everone will enjoy. The discriptive style of the author is very good. It makes you feel as if you are seeing the story unfold in your mind.

Fantastic - Restores teaching of Yeshua (Jesus) as a Jew!

This book does what few books can do, it challenges us to redefine our understandings of core doctrines and beliefs in Scripture.

Yeshua (Jesus) was fully a Torah observant Jew, and contrary to today's teachings by many, taught His talmidim (disciples) to observer the Torah. He was born a fully Jew, and He died fully a Jew.

A worthwhile book that will change the way you see Yeshua (Jesus).

Really more a comment on the title

The book I agree has some really great points. I myself am Messianic & believe that so many people miss out by not knowing the Jewishness of our Messiah. My biggest problem, believe it or not, is the title. Jesus didn't have blue eyes ? Um, just how do we know that ? I think the author doesn't realize, as many do not, that blue eyes originated in the middle east. It was a mutation that caused the blue color in the eyes, and it originated around the Black Sea area thousands of years ago & it spread from that one ancestor throughout the centuries, throughout the world. Since blue eyes originated in the middle east, there is no basis in saying Yeshua didn't have blue eyes. We just don't know. We do know blue eyes were present throughout the world at the time Yeshua was on earth because blue eyes had well spread throughout the world many thousands of years before Yeshua was born. He could've had brown eyes, he could very well have had blue eyes. It's a poor, uneducated title for a book. It starts it off on the wrong foot, which is unfortunate because this book has alot of good information in it. The author would do well to research genetics & the history of blue eyes before he issues a statement like that. It's very uninformed.

Blue Eyes A Keeper

I have been studying the Jewish Roots of Christianity since 1980, after my wife and I attended a one day workshop presented by Jews for Jesus. I have read a fairly large number of books on the subject but this one was way above average and helpful. Actually, for someone that hasn't ever looked into this before, this book is an excellent resource. However, even if you have been doing it for 31 years like me, it still had a lot of really good material and it didn't hurt to review the things I had learned in the past.

For me, the first half of the book was more basic, but the latter half was really good and had lots of new things to share and I really appreciate Derek's work in this book. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to know the "real" background of our faith in Yeshua, whether beginner or old timer like me.

When I read pages 118-119 (Exploring the World of Jewish Thought) in the copy I bought, I though Derek had taken some of those thoughts right out of my own diary. All I can say is Leman has "been there, done that" and definitely knows what he is talking about. Again, my personal thanks to him for the book.

Renowned artists such as Robert Arneson, Terry Allen, Deborah Butterfield, Jim Dine, and Tom Otterness have utilized the firm's services to create, produce, and install finished art pieces worldwide.
