About the Author
Samael Aun Weor is the bodhisattva of Samael, the Spirit of Fire. Literally, bodhi means "enlightenment" or "wisdom." sattva means "essence" or "goodness," therefore the term Bodhisattva literally means "essence of wisdom." In the esoteric or secret teachings of Tibet and Gnosticism, a bodhisattva is a human being who has reached the Fifth Initiation of Fire (Tiphereth) and has chosen to continue working by means of the Straight Path, renouncing the easier Spiral Path (in Nirvana), and returning instead to help suffering humanity. By means of this sacrifice, this individual incarnates the Christ, which in Hebrew is called Chokmah, Wisdom. The bodhisattva embodies of the supreme source of wisdom and compassion. Samael Aun Weor, the bodhisattva of Samael, the Spirit of Fire, was born in Colombia, South America. At a very early age, he was able to remember his past incarnations. Thus, he knew who he was. He never identified with his Christian name since he knew that it was just a passing accident of life that soon disappears in time. Even though many people who knew him still like to use his Christian name, we omit it, because just like him, we only want to talk about his Real Self or Real Being. He worked anonymously for many years, writing books and teaching Gnosis, while working intensely upon himself to eliminate his ego. His first book was The Perfect Matrimony, published in 1950. The appearance of this book sparked a wildfire in the spiritual communities of that time; many were shocked, many were outraged, and many were deeply inspired. The Roman Catholic Church sought to have Samael arrested; and he was. Many people threatened to kill him; several attempts were made against his life. Upon cleaning his psyche of an extremely high percentage of psychological defects, he began to appear in public to deliver the Gnostic Teachings to humanity. During this time he became widely known throughout the Spanish-speaking countries. His many works sprouted the International Gnostic Movement, a widespread and diversified collection of schools, teachers and students whose message has now spread to every continent on the planet, all under the flag raised by Samael Aun Weor. It is widely recognized that throughout the towns and villages of Mexico, Central and South America, even if one cannot find a post office, one can always find a Gnostic school. Samael Aun Weor achieved the complete annihilation within himself of the subconsciousness, unconsciousness, and infraconsciousness through the techniques of meditation and sexual dynamics; thus he developed Supraconsciousness, which gave him the ability to investigate cosmic phenomena within all of the sephiroth of the Tree of Life (Kabbalah). Samael Aun Weor achieved complete Self-realization at the age of sixty-one; thus at that age he passed through a terrible ordeal which allowed him to achieve the degree of a Resurrected Master and return into Shangri-La. Since then, he is operating anonymously in the physical world, while simultaneously continuing his mission from within the Internal Worlds. This is how his Real Being, Samael, the Spirit of Fire, absorbed him completely within his bosom and became one with him. A great deal of information about Samael, the Spirit of Fire, is written in many esoteric books. In some places Samael is described as a demon, and in others as a great Angel. This is because there is always movement in the heavens and hells; the demons can renounce evil and work to become Angels, and the Angels can make mistakes and fall into evil. This is the true meaning behind Jacob's Ladder. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending (to higher realms) and descending (to lower realms) on it. (Genesis 28:12) The ladder is the Tree of Life (Kabbalah). Samael Aun Weor said regarding this: "I ended up transforming myself into a fallen angel. Many egos resurged within my mind and I became transformed into a true devil. Now, in this present existence, I comprehend the necessity of eliminating my egos, the necessity of performing the Great Work of the Father. Therefore, this is why today I am here speaking to you all, with my hand placed on my heart." Any neophyte can invoke the Master Samael in the Internal Worlds the clues that he gave in many of his books, and investigate all of this directly. The Doctrine of his Father, Samael, the Spirit of Fire, is given through three aspects, since the human being has three brains: the Intellectual Brain, the Emotional Brain, and the Motor/Instinctive/Sexual Brain. To nourish the Intellectual Brain of his disciples with the wisdom of the Fire, he wrote more than sixty books. As a comprehensive whole, these works show the way and the dangers of the work. By intellectually learning the Doctrine of his Father, one can walk more easily on the Path of Self-realization. Since the Doctrine is very profound and sometimes difficult for the intellect to comprehend, Samael brought from the Internal Worlds the ancient Isiatic ritualistic works, a magical channel through which Samael the Spirit of Fire works in order to assist with fiery atoms, the Consciousness and the Spirit of those who perform these esoteric works, awakening within them the superlative Intuition that allows them to comprehend his Doctrine. The superlative Intuition is related with the Atom Nous in the left ventricle of the heart and is related with what is called in Kabbalah "Natural Magic." Samael helps any neophyte who invokes him in the fiery forge of Vulcan, the "Ninth Sphere," in order to walk on the Path of the Razor's Edge, to become a real Human Being through the transmutation of our vital energies. The synthesis of his Doctrine is performed when one works in the three brains, in complete equilibrium.

We are in moments of great inquietudes. The mystery of the origin of the human being must be clarified. The field of conjectures is detestable; it is like a wall without a foundation, all you need to do is to push it a little bit in order for it to become a pile of sediment. The most critical aspect of materialistic anthropology is the denial of the Intelligent Principles of universal machinery. Obviously, such an attitude leaves the machinery without a foundation. It is not possible for the machinery to work or to be built by chance. The Intelligent Principles of Nature are active in the whole selective process and they manifest themselves wisely. Likewise, it is an absurdity to bottle up ourselves within the dogma of mechanical evolution. If the constructive principles exist in Nature, unquestionably, so too do the destructive principles. If evolution exists in every living species, likewise so too does devolution. For instance, evolution exists in the seed that dies in order for the stalk to sprout. Evolution exists in the plant that grows, that gives flowers, leaves and that finally gives fruits. Yet, devolution exists in the plant that withers, which agonizes, and that finally becomes a bunch of wood. Evolution exists in the creature that is gestated within the maternal womb, in the child who plays, and in the teenager. Yet, devolution exists in the elder who dwindles away and finally dies. When the worlds emerge from within the Chaos of life they start to evolve to a certain point, afterwards, they devolve and finally they become new moons. If we give exclusivity to mechanical evolution when we study anthropology, then we are studying it in a partial way and thus fall into error. However, if we study anthropology in the light of the law of devolution, then we march equilibrated, because evolution and devolution constitute the two laws of the mechanical axle of the whole of Nature. To say that evolution is the sole foundation for this entire, great natural mechanism is a total absurdity. We must consider life and death, the times of development and the times of decrement. Only in this way will we correctly march within the integral structure of the Gnostic dialectic. We are not willing, in any way, to remain bottled up within the materialistic, evolutive dogma; we must by necessity study the devolving processes of anthropology, otherwise we will march on the path of error. What are the original prototypes of this human race? Who knows them? By means of scientific methods we can see, hear and touch the original prototypes of this human race. We know very well that human beings existed before the Intellectual Animal appeared on the Atlantis of Plato. Atlantis is not a simple fantasy, as the ignorant fanatics of the famous materialistic Pangaea supposed. The human being existed in Lemuria, as well as in the Hyperborean and Polar epochs. However, these are themes that we will develop in the following chapters in order for us to clarify these anthropological themes better. Atlantis really existed; remnants of Atlantis are the archipelago of Antilles, the Canary Islands and even Spain itself. Spain is a piece of ancient Atlantis. This is unknown to those who are passionately fond of materialistic anthropology and also to the geologists who are so deeply behind the times, who are incapable of projecting themselves through time. How can they know something about the events that occurred many millions of years ago in the Miocene Epoch? What do they know about it? Have they seen it? Have they touched it? If we Gnostics talk about the Miocene Epoch, it is because we can see it. The Miocene Epoch is accessible to the one who is capable of developing the faculties which are latent in the human brain. Nonetheless, the materialist attitude of denial is incongruent. They say that they only believe in what they see, nothing else, yet they believe in all of their absurd fantasies. No one has seen and no one has proven their suppositions. We can state with certainty that not even one scientist has ever witnessed how the first human being came forth. Yet, they talk with so much self-sufficiency as if they were present in the Miocene Epoch, as if they had seen the anthropoids appearing there in ancient Lemuria. The materialistic anthropologists enthrone their marvelous gods, namely the lemurs and mandrills (baboons); they place them as sublime Prosimians from which (they assert) we descended. Has this been confirmed by them? Have they, at some time, seen it? Never! So, where is their foundation? Is their foundation resting upon fantasies that they have never seen? Are they not perhaps the ones who state that they do not believe but only what they see? Then, why do they believe in what they have never observed? Is it not perhaps a contradiction? Are they not perhaps contradictory within their depth?

The Truth finally revealed!
By Ryan Kouroukis
In one of his last books, Samael Aun Weor endevours to explain the origin of the human being contrary to materialistic science including Darwin's and Heckel's theories. He also talks about evolution, devolution, and occult history, with most of his findings coming from the Akashic records.

He brings up many interesting statistics, ideas, stories, and facts and his language is far bolder than one might expect as he is up against the entire "scientific" community!

This book is a necessary complement to Rudolf Steiner's related book entitled "Cosmic Memory".

Highly recommended for inquisitive minds!

A combination of evolution and creation that rests on the two pillars of science and religion
By J.B
Gnostic anthropology is a field of study that is founded on the premise that the secrets of the past cannot be completely understood without the latent faculties of man being activated. Modern science seems to accept the idea that "we can never fully know the history of man" under the assumption that truth can only be found through the five senses, materialism and Euclid's world of three dimensions. However, Aun Weor makes immensely clear in this work and many others that the full history of the universe is recorded in the akashic records and can be accessed through extra-sensory means. In mathematics, the 4th dimension is known as time. According to esoteric traditions, time is not an abstract idea but a full reality that contains the sum of all events and forms that have ever occurred. It is utilizing this medium that Aun Weor and others have investigated the history of this planet and the origins of the human race. Madame Blavatsky, Rudolf Steiner and Plato are among those who have experimented with meditation and extra sensory perception in order to study the akashic records, all of whom reported astoundingly similar findings.
Something that Aun Weor states which I found very important is that these studies are not for skeptics. I find this to be true in a sense, since the immensity and scope of these topics can be difficult to accept. What I would add to his statement is that these studies are only valuable to those with an open mind and who are willing to work to cultivate their latent senses, in order to investigate them on their own. There is no use believing in something unless the truth of the matter can be personally verified. These teaching serve as a guide and warning to avoid mistakes that have been made repeatedly over the immense course of human existence. Trying to refute and disprove the author's claims would also be in vain unless one is willing to venture on an exhaustive study of the topic, in order to give a full and scientific survey of the enormous volume of ancient literature upon which this doctrine is founded. Aside from cultivating the capacity for in-depth meditation, the survey also includes the study of the cosmogony from every great civilization of the world, the writings of early scientist such as Paracelsus and Galen, the massive quantity of ancient writings from India especially Vishnu Purana and Shatapatha Brahmana, Egyptian mythology such as the pyramid texts and the Emerald Tablets of Thoth , Lakota creation myths, Meso-American writings and architecture, The Yi Jing or book of changes, the Chinese Taoist text Chuci, Australian aboriginal mythology, Norse and Druid mythology, the Aztec and Mayan calendars, the Mayan holy book Popal Vu, The book of Genesis, the art of initiates such as Albrecht Durer and Sandro Botticelli, Theosophical works such as Cosmogenesis, Anthrogenesis and The Secret Doctrine, the ancient Iranian Vendidad Avesta of Zoroaster, the middle Persian Zoroastrian text Bundahishn, the Rosicrucian library, and so on. These studies are for those who are dissatisfied with modern scientific explanations as well as the literal interpretation of the biblical Genesis and who are completely open to both new and ancient ideas.
It is my understanding given the research I have done that there is overwhelming agreement from vastly independent civilizations that support the claims of this book. This is definitely a worthwhile introductory read into the works of Samael Aun Weor, as well as a good starting place for those interested in esoteric or Gnostic anthropology. The origins of humanity described in this book present a much more complete picture than any others I have found. Gnostic anthropology is a wise combination of science, philosophy, art and religion and is highly recommended for anyone who is interested in knowledge that goes beyond the limits of the three dimensional world.
