An excellent reference...

This book epitomizes what all good instruction books should be. It is clearly and concisely written. The reasoning is well explained and backed up with both personal experience and scientific reports (there is a good reference section).

Brendan starts with his own story - "you can't compete without eating meat" - and proceeds to prove the naysayers very wrong. He explains, in a clear fashion, what one is doing through intensive training (stress) and how to make your diet help your performance.

He clearly explains the rationale behind a raw vegan diet as well as why he uses certain additional dietary supplements such as Maca. He provides menus and recipes in the book.

For anyone following the healthy path of raw vegan food this is a great reference. Too bad other books don't have a similar 'bang for the buck' as this.

A Discriminating Look At Greatness.

As a highly educated man, with a mental acumen and a standard of living, well beyond that of the common man, it is thusly understandable that I am impressed by very little. As such, it can then be assumed that goes for authors and their "books". I put the word "books" in quotation marks, as the word "book" is, in about 98.7% of the time that it is used, grossly generous a discription to the cacophony of drivel that is spewed seemingly on a daily basis by "authors".

Understanding my contempt for the vast majority of authors, and other such people of their ilk, one can only imagine that it was with great trepidation that I consented to a review of this particular book, written by Mr. Brazier. As you are now well aware, I am very disriminating with my praise, but when merited, I will dispense freely with it.

And friends, this is one of those oh so very, very rare times. How fine a tome was this? Well to put it one way, has a book ever made you want to get out of your chair and start dancing? This book achieved such a response. Has a book ever made you want to take it with you everywhere you go? This book does. Have you ever said "I love you." to a book? I did to this one.

Health and fitness are the cornerstones to general well being, yet despite my profound intellect, not to mention my financial largesse, such well-being had become elusive at best. This book unlocks the mysteries of health and wellness, and, listed currently at just $8.21 on Amazon.com, one need not need live like a king, as I do, to afford such a fine piece of writing. This book would be a bargain at many times the price.

Friends, as one who is admittedly hard to please, and certainly one who is not easy to impress, I can say with the greatest of convictions, do yourself a favor and purchase this masterpiece!! If I can be so grandly impressed, it will surely impress you as well.
