I have worked with Peter Gross in the past on ERP implementations to great success. I am not a fulltime project manager so when I saw this book, I knew it was one book I needed in my technical library. To have all Peter’s knowledge and experience documented in one place is an incredible find. This is as close to a “How to” manual that you will find for such a complicated process. The forms and templates he includes (from budget the project to mapping, managing and testing) breakdown and simplify a very large and complex processes in to manageable tasks. The detailed examples are clear and very applicable to any ERP implementation. Anyone who is starring down the barrel of an ERP system implementation should really take the time to read this book.

I've been working with enterprise level systems implementation projects for many years, and this book provides the most concise and effective guide I have seen. As someone who has implemented many different ERP systems, it's clear that this methodology pulls from best and proven practices across industries and business models, and also serves as testimony to many successful years implementing complex systems.

Eco-Egalitarian Spirituality (also called Creation Spirituality, Nature Spirituality, and Earth-Centered Spirituality) is a life-affirming spiritual focus based on Nature. It is an individualistic spiritual path, not a distinct organized religion. It is practiced by many who are members of mainstream religions, and by many who are not.

Eco-Egalitarian Spirituality is an underlying element common to most religions. It is embodied in non-patriarchal aspects of indigenous religions throughout the world. It is an aspect of Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Taoism, Shinto, and Buddhism. It is found in the mysticism of Judaism (Kabbalah), Christianity (ecumenical mysticism/Wisdom Tradition), Islam (Sufism), and Baha'ism. And it is reflected in Unitarian Universalism.

Those on an Eco-Egalitarian Spirituality path reject blind obedience to all human spiritual leadership and blind acceptance of any decreed dogma. Diversity of opinion is the norm. Each person explores his/her own path on the common journey - guided by compassion, reason, and experience.

Eco-Egalitarian Spirituality reflects an emphatic love for, and desire to understand, Deity. It conceives Deity to be an unfathomable mystery: ultimately genderless, formless, and limitless. All definitions necessarily fall short. Eco-Egalitarian Spirituality emphasizes the ultimate oneness of Deity, but acknowledges a multitude of names, attributes, and forms of the primordial and eternal, omnipotent and omniscient, all-encompassing and universal Deity.

Those on an Eco-Egalitarian Spirituality path follow the positive (non-harmful) aspects of their respective religious traditions. Worship of Deity may include prayer, meditation, chanting, or singing. Or dancing, drumming, ritual, or sacred drama. Indeed, celebrating the artist within, worship of Deity may be manifested in any kind of artistic expression. Worship of Deity may also include thanksgiving or penance offerings of candles, incense, or flowers. Or offerings of grain, fruit, or libations. Or it may include action offerings, such as giving food to the poor, demonstrating against social injustice, or picking up litter.

Those with an Eco-Egalitarian Spirituality focus recognize that one can have direct experience of Deity any time and any place. One can worship alone, as a family, or in a spiritual community. The cycle of life, the cycle of the seasons, and the lunar cycles are often celebrated. (The Sun and Moon, and their continuing cycles, are seen as symbols of Deity, and metaphors for human physical and psychological cycles.)

This calendar is intended to show how Eco-Egalitarian Spirituality is reflected in religious traditions of the past and the present. It is also intended to aid in reclaiming and exploring positive aspects of one's own religious traditions, letting go of harmful aspects, and learning about the traditions of others.

needs a graphic designer

"The Mystic's Wheel of the Year" Multifaith Calendar, is an excellent concept--a calendar that is crosscultural and open in its observances. Moreover, the calendar is filled with useful information not presented in this manner elsewhere. The problem with the calendar (quite a huge problem) is the layout. The calendar is jam packed with information, crammed together in a tiny font, single spaced, with no visual breaks. Only the most dedicate reader with 20/20 vision will be able and willing to decipher the text of this calendar. This calendar is all about the text so having a readable layout it critical to it being of any use. Moreover, the photographs are not in full color but rather one color. This makes for a bland if not boring presentation of otherwise intriguing imagery. Based on concept alone I went ahead and bought several of these calendars as gifts but before the year was over I threw mine away since I can't read it. My advice to the publisher is to realize that calendars are visual and not just informative. Go ahead and spring for an art director or a freelance graphic designer, then your calendar will be able to reach all of the people it should.

WONDERFUL, beautiful book for the whole family!

We love books in our home! Finding high quality, edifying books is challenging, and even more challenging is finding books out there that represent our faith, for our children (and the whole family) to enjoy and learn from. We absolutely love this book!

Passover Next Door is the story of how one Messianic Jewish family celebrates the Passover. It is a gorgeous hardcover book, with vivid illustrations-that gives the reader a look into the true meaning of the Passover, not to mention the rich traditions, songs, and FOODS!

Passover Next Door tells the story of not only the Weinberger Family and how they honor and celebrate the Passover, but how they share the Passover with their neighbors too! They illustrate `being a light for Yeshua' throughout this story-makes you want Aunt Betty, Uncle Dave and the whole family to move in next door! A wonderful example of loving your neighbor, sharing your faith, and following God's ways & appointed times!

From the rich traditions as old as Mosheh to learning how Yeshua is revealed in the Passover, this is a wonderful read aloud for the whole family! Whole heartedly recommended!!

Family Tradition

Passover Next Door tells the story of a family as they learn about Passover from their neighbors. The illustrations are beautiful and the text is very informative in explaining what is done during the Passover season and the reasons why. This book is written from the Messianic Jewish perspective, so some of the explanations and songs have been modified from the 'traditional' setting, and one tradition is purely from the author's family traditions. The story is told from the childrens' perspectives, making this book easily relatable to kids. The writing style is perhaps at a middle school level, but I read it to my family the day it arrived, and my younger brothers and sisters (2nd-7th grade) were exited to share what they learned during family discussions later that evening.

Uniquely entertaining

Books on Spanish wine are difficult to find, good books on Spanish wine are rare and books such as Brian Murdock's are unique. Not only is it up-to-date and thorough but it blends a current knowledge of the Spanish wine industry with insights into Spain's history and culture. Robert Parker (aka God), the world's leading wine critic, has said of Spanish wine that,"Spain has done an outstanding job of maintaining respect for its traditions of the past and also looking forward to the future." This wine revolution is perfectly captured in Murdock's book.

However, this is not just a (well above) average reference book on Spanish wine regions and their wines. This book is far more. It is a personal journey, literally, among the highways and byways- most Spanish wineries are on byways- where the author talks to a wide cross-section of individuals involved in wine-making. This allows the reader to hear the voices of those actually making the wide variety of quality wines which Spain is now producing.

In this personal account the author's acute perceptions, deep knowledge, wit and sheer passiopn of and for Spanish wines burns through. At the end of this excellent read Murdock modestly states that he is no 'expert' but '...after a helluvah lot of work, I also should know what I am talking about.' Indeed he does.

As a wine merchant based in Spain and having visited many of the same places and tasted the same wines as the author I can bear witness to its accuracy and insight. This first-class book will appeal not only to all those who wish to explore Spanish wines but also ita charming people and rich culture.

you emerge from a reading whether chapter or the entirety full of information, history and amusemnt with which the author embues his peregrinations through spain to record the wine situation. and, oh yes, very particalized descritions are givenabout each area's wines for one's practical information. having been to the country twice it made me long to board iberia air lines for a prompt return. at very least, to start exploring the local wine shops,usa, and experimenting with some real kind of informed knowledge.

More than a wine guide!

When I see this book, I thought "OK, a modern guide for spanish wines, I'll get it". But it's much more than this! It's a really good landscape of the spanish wine culture, with many facts surrounding the wine and spanish people.

I think Mr. Murdock has done a really good job, and it will be useful for many pepole who loves wine and wants to know more about Spain, its wine and the people who lives there.

5 stars are for all the book if we excepts the part for andalusian wines. They are worth of a full book! :-)

Heart-opening!

Gaea's book is immensely moving, vulnerable, direct, beautifully written, very revealing of her and the intimate process she and her family went through with her heart transplant. It was incredibly raw and comprehensive in terms of their emotional experiences. Gaea's telling was not at all sentimental,
and it conveyed the spiritual presence that Gaea and her husband lived in while going through such an immense initiatory ordeal. The book also took me into the depths of the utter death of everything Gaea, her husband and her child had to face. I cried a lot...thanks so much, Gaea. This book offers an inspiring transmission of love and trust in the face of one of Life's fiercest experiences. It will be an inspiration and companion to those on the journey of transplant surgery, to their families, as well as those who are called to donate the precious organs of their fallen beloveds.
Gaea is also an inspiration for anyone who is facing any situation in life that appears to be more than they can handle.

A Heroine's Journey

Gaea Shaw's account of her heart disease, heart transplant and her new life is an inspiration to anyone whose life is spinning out of control. Gaea did all the right things: healthy diet, exercise--but her heart was giving out, and she was close to death. Her courageous descent into total surrender left me in tears. Shaw doesn't spare us any of the emotional turmoil she went through during this life-threatening experience, and yet this short book is written in a clear, simple, and unsentimental style. The way she told her story adds even more power to it. For myself, I know that if I were facing such a dire medical operation, at first I would be overwhelmed with fear and confusion. But Gaea's story elicited a deeper force within me (and all of us) which has the power to carry us through our darker hours, whether we are confronting day-to-day struggles or a life-and-death crisis.

An Authentic Read!

Gaea Shaw has written an authentic, inspiring, book. I found myself emotionally reviewing my own life while reading the experience of hers. There is wisdom in this book...the kind that's earned when confronted with a major life challenge.

From a heart that was dying to a heart that is fully living, Gaea authentically shares herself and her family with the reader.

Dying to Live: From Heart Transplant to Abundant Life is a good reminder that while much of life is out of our control, we can choose how we respond! I am buying 10 copies and offering them as gifs to my circle of girlfriends.
